  • What do you think? Is the COVID death count inflated? And just how badly did the media get COVID wrong?

    StevenCrowderStevenCrowderVor 4 Monate
    • @N Satheesan because the stimulus has a pay check for every covid death in hospitals. So congestive heart failure, complications due to cancer even car accidents fatalities all get labeled as covid deaths. Just to make tell look bad. Words to live by never sign anything written by democrats without having read every last word. Just like the 25 million in the first stimulus for the Kennedy center for new instruments. What the hell does that have to do with covid?

    • yes but i think this topic is too far conspiracy based to drive appropriate political debate. I think this one was unproductive Steven no hate but even if everything you said is true and makes an actual 25% disparity what does it matter and what difference does it make? just like a lost video game Im gonna say "GG go next" on this one. can't win em all. you can tell which topics are more straight forward based on the amount of valid criticism you receive if you go to the Rape Culture video your comment section is unanimous. but here its not at all because of debatable and subjective this is. I think you would have more mug clubbers if you stuck to more objective arguments based on written law and constitution. etc. personally I think the inflation is another tactic to make trump look bad because the DNC and media is hard for the destruction of the big bad orange man that they will hurt the country as a whole to make it happen. which is proven in the russian collusion on obamas side etc. but that is a very subjective opinion that I cant factually argue with people against because its annecdotal evidence. so i know a lot of you in these replies are ragging on each other and think one of you is way better than the other but understand for this topic your both opinions are anecdotal and neither invalid or valid.

  • It is an election year stunt. We have medical facilities being sued in my town for lying about a true cause of death in more than one case, money is what is all that is behind it for the medical community. Does it not seem odd to you that this all is happening during an election year ?

  • Any underlying respiratory, cardiac, diabetic, or autoimmune condition (among others) which results in death during the acute or convalescence period of illness from COVID-19 is a combination cause of death. The Respiratory, cardiac, diabetic, or autoimmune disease (among others) is the “underlying” cause of death whereas COVID-19 would be the “immediate” cause of death according to the office of epidemiology and scientific support. This is because, due to the length of time of chronic illnesses, it is unlikely that the person would have died during the approximately 14 day period had they not contracted COVID-19. So therefore, your issue isnt with cause(s) of death being placed on their death certificate. According to your logic, the hospitals should only receive funding according to their “underlying cause of death” instead of a multi-factorial analysis which includes “immediate cause of death” and any other “intermediate cause(s) of death”.

  • I'm late to the party on this video. The counts are obviously too high although I have one problem with Steven's argument. I always tell people case counts are poor stats, hospitalizations and deaths are better barometers...but that assumes that those listing causes of death are being reasonable in their categorizations of deaths (and haven't been incentivized to state COVID as the cause of death. There are exceptions. I remember hearing that nobody was listed as having committed suicide on 9/11 even though people were clearly jumping from a hundred floors up. That was probably about helping the families collect on life insurance when they obviously jumped because of the fires. After arguing for lower numbers Steven compares the deaths to a bad flu season. The problem with that is that we don't usually shut anything down or take the precautions that many took this year. I'm guessing that if we did the same thing every flu season those numbers would drop very low. It wouldn't be worth it but it still remains true. I still like what Sweden did. Take care of your seniors and let society function. Think about all the money that has been sunk into COVID and imagine just spending a fraction of that to insulate your seniors and a selected number of others. A lot of PHD's are going to be studying Sweden in the next few years.

  • This aged SO poorly. What difference does it make now when there's 230k deaths. Let's say 20% are overcounted. Fine, 190k deaths. Is that good? I warned this would happen; it was so stupid to make such a video when the death counts were still INCREASING. You can make this video a year after if the counts are still wrong, not while they are still growing every day.

  • I'm not here for the politics side of things but I already see a problem with the video in the first few mins. You said that they gave you consent to not wear a mask in when interacting with them. But does it really matter if they give you consent to wear a mask or not? You are practically asking," hey if I have covid right now, could have spread it to you?". The person might not mind getting covid because they don't believe it exists, or they think that the chance of contracting it is low(I don't know), but in the scenario that you DO contract it, it really is a different case! At that point, you can't choose whether you contract it or not, you WILL Contract it, and will likely spread it to others, and some people may die due to this. Anti-vaxxers also don't want their kids to be vaccinized, they might believe that vaccines cause autism and other bullshit, but if they were to contract diseases like tetanus, they might spread it to other vulnerable people and, as I said earlier, they may DIE. You yourself know that Covid is real. Is the covid death count inflated? How the hell would I know. Does it matter? Maybe in some ways, I haven't thought of. But what I believe matters more is your own responsibility to curb the spread of the virus. Regardless of whether you believe the actual death count is more towards a few thousand than a few hundred thousand, people are still dying.

  • You are failing to differentiate between cause of death and underlying conditions that contributed to death. Example if I am obese and have a heart attack while trying to get into shape. Both are listed on the death certificate with the heart attack being the cause of death and obesity being an underlying condition. The thought is to document the patient’s condition. It is possible the treatment necessary for an obese person is different from a person who isn’t obese.

About a months ago I went in for a procedure, while I was in recovery my Dr went to talk to my mom (I’m mid 30’s & my mom is still very active in my care) she asked his opinion on Covid-19, and he said it would be 2 years until we have a vaccine, and 80% of the population gets it. Till then I still need to be careful (social isolation, groceries delivered, if I have to be out social distance...). I had my 1 wk Telehealth appt. where I asked if he thought it would be okay to go to Thanksgiving my husbands family was planning. 15-18 ppl in a 3000sq ft house, he said absolutely not, and he would gladly write a letter to share with them, so the blame was 100% on him. He did however lift some of my isolation rules, small groups 7-10ppl that I trust have my well being at heart, outside (In FL that’s easy to do year round), and spaced out. He also made it very clear whoever wins the election won’t and can not change the outcome of the next 2 years in regards to Covid.

  • You know I just don't believe that they have MRI machines "reserved" for covid patients without any covid patients in the hospital. An MRI is not necessary to view the lungs of a COVID patient. X-Rays are enough for that. MRI's only take a couple of hours to run per scan, so you wouldn't have your machine sitting there with people manning it, patients lined up to use it but say "oh, we're waiting for theoretical patients to come into the hospital who could use the X-ray machines but aren't." Sorry while I can believe the numbers are inflated somewhat, I think anyone who believes that MRI machines aren't being used for people who need them is naive and hasn't spent any time in a hospital.

  • It's curious everyone is so stuck on death count right now... I'd say the covid cases matter more... especially since it's known to be so extremely contagious and has mutated to become even more so. Why is this worse than the death toll right now? Because the more contagious something is and the more it passes on to other people, the more often it will mutate.... and we know that this has been proven to be true over the past year. So yeah. I don't really care about if the death toll is inflated or not right now. The fact that there's so many cases and that it's still spreading is what's going to cause issues... ESPECIALLY since we still don't know all that much about it still...and mutations definitely make learning about it even more difficult.

  • For those who never heard an for those who wanna share it. HERE IS THE MILLMILLION-DOLLA. QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.

  • I kinda agree. I think that they are still blowing up the COVID death situation. That doesn’t mean that people are not dying from COVID. Just saying that I don’t think that it is killing people at an alarming rate like it did at the beginning I’ve had many family members get it and survive. I think they need to open up the economy but still have the hand sanitizers everywhere and the mandated mask. Just for that extra protection. But I do not agree with everything still being closed it’s is completely pointless. I believe people are still being smart despite everything you see online of people refusing to wear masks. But I just feel like out of respect and just to be safe people would wear their mask when in the store and all that. The reality of it is the more people that get it. The weaker the virus gets. It’s just science. It’s biology that’s how viruses work. Just like the flu. Not saying it is worse or less serious than the flu. But just like the flu it changes every year and every year it kills some and it doesn’t kill others.

  • "Every single death inside of a nursing home" over the last several months, has been listed as a Covid death regardless of testing (in the US)? I don't doubt what he's saying but need facts (sited, etc.). Anyone help me out?

    • I stupidly have been repeating this "fact" without researching it myself. Now i cant confirm it. Can anyone help me please?

    • I was about to ask this question. Because the nursing homes in our area are COVID-free facilities for months.

  • Well.... The World Health Organization would have to pay back all those Pandemic Bonds they STOLE if we show this NOT being a PANDEMIC. "A pandemic is defined as “an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people”.2 The classical definition includes nothing about population immunity, virology or disease severity. By this definition, pandemics can be said to occur annually in each of the temperate southern and northern hemispheres, given that seasonal epidemics cross international boundaries and affect a large number of people. However, seasonal epidemics are not considered pandemics." I'm not rocket scientist. But, i can see what's going on. I want to hang out with people like Steve. People who want evolution over reclusion.

  • This is true. As a healthcare worker in the field, i have experienced that if the patient has Covid, and end up passing away their death certificate has list the PRIMARY reason as Covid. When this was first instituted I witnessed a doctor wanting to list a certain reason for the patient death, found out the patient was a Covid patient, and stated she had to change the primary reason to Covid. No autopsies have been performed on any of the patients that o have taken care of that passed “due to Covid” This video is 100% true.

    • @Bil Wilson I don’t own a boutique anymore sadly :( that venture failed. The companies I worked with took money from me and did not produce what I asked, and I just didn’t try again. But yes I am a registered Nurse in MD and I have a business license. What purpose would I have to make up a story 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • Pretty interesting that you can both own a boutique clothing store AND be working in primary healthcare...I'm surprised you even have time to comment on yt videos with made up stories, while managing a career like that.

  • You have no data to back up that 25% of all Covid deaths in the US are not from Covid. You just used an example of New York and then applied it to the rest of the country. You know the reason New York couldn't account for 25% of cases? Because they were so overwhelmed with cases they did not have time to properly judge how they died.

  • There is no financial incentive to locking down your country in a pandemic. It is not a political issue it is a global pandemic that has killed 1 million people worldwide.

    • @Kenneth Fox Did you know there are many people whos sole job is to reply to youtube comments in order to reinforce whatever narrative, usually something establishment related or politically left? Im just musing for a moment before I put real effort, real thought and time into replying to your comments. Thank you for engaging. I believe conversations like these are very important and very much needed. There is an enormous divide world wide on this subject. I feel like there should be a clear answer and logically the majority/vast majority should be able to come to a pretty easy agreement. So far we are very deeply divided.

    • @Garret Bobby Ferguson Also TB largely affects the developing world. This is a global pandemic for fucks sake that spreads incredibly easily. Are car crashes contagious viruses that can pass on between people? In terms of deaths, people with underlying conditions have died because Covid-19 has accelerated their illness. That's no inflation that is just how the virus works.

      Kenneth FoxKenneth FoxVor 3 Tage
    • @Garret Bobby Ferguson Alot of bigger corporations have not though. Think of all the airlines who have gone out of business because of this. 230,000 died from TB last year, 1 million have died already worldwide from Covid-19. There are also long term impacts of the virus even if you survive. There are people in their 20s who have had to learn how to walk again.

      Kenneth FoxKenneth FoxVor 3 Tage
    • In 2018 tuberculosis killed 1.5 million people world wide. 250,000 of wich were children. It was not televised or mentioned by any politician. There were no lockdowns or masks. According to the CDC covid-19 has a 0.4% mortality rate. This means that 4 out of 1,000 infected individuals will die a covid related death. Death from traffic accidents a year per 1,000 Americans is 12.4 with an additional 4.4 million people seriously injured enough to go to the hospital. Also what constitutes someone as dying from covid is being fiercely debated. Many credible people are saying that the actual death rate is much much lower. Time will tell. I *personally* do not know of anyone anywhere who has died from covid in the context of friend or a friend of a friend or my friends coworkers uncle. So I have no tangible evidence that anyone is dying other than the nonstop doomsday stories on the internet. Do you personally know someone who has died?
